Britt Heaps, founder of Key Alignment Consulting
20+ Years in
Revenue Ops

I've run the large business. Led the big teams. Done the hard work.

Led a Cisco distributor to $800M in annual revenue • Managed 50+ person sales, technical, and project management teams • Drove $2B in sales process improvement across multi-entity organizations • ICF & EMCC certified coach • Lean Six Sigma practitioner • 10+ year BJJ coach

I started Key Alignment because I kept watching talented people and capable teams underperform — not from lack of effort, but from lack of clarity. After two decades in the trenches of revenue operations, I know exactly what it costs when things aren't aligned.

My background isn't theoretical. I led a Cisco distributor business to $800M in annual revenue. I built and managed sales teams of 50+ people. I drove large-scale sales process improvement projects across $2B multi-entity organizations. I've led not just sales teams, but technical teams and project management organizations — so I understand how alignment (and misalignment) ripples across every function.

A big part of my leadership career was always about training, coaching, and developing people. I've been formally trained in Lean Six Sigma and I apply that methodology in every engagement — because it creates real, measurable, sustainable change. Not a one-time fix. A lasting operating system.

I'm also an ICF & EMCC certified life coach, a PDPworks certified behavioral practitioner, and I've been coaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 10 years. The discipline required on the mat — simplify, drill the fundamentals, trust the process — is the same discipline I bring to every business and coaching engagement.

10+
Years Coaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Over a decade coaching BJJ teaches you how to teach: how to break down complexity, build progressive skill, keep people engaged through difficulty, and trust the process when progress feels invisible.

The principles behind every engagement.

01
Simplicity reduces stress
Fewer priorities, better executed, create more momentum than a full plate of half-done work. The answer to overwhelm is almost never more — it's clarity.
02
Systems create freedom
Good systems run on habits, not willpower. The right structure frees you from having to think about everything all the time — so you can focus on what actually matters.
03
Alignment builds momentum
When daily actions align with actual goals, progress stops feeling like work. Misalignment is where energy leaks — alignment is where it compounds.
04
Progress beats perfection
Continuous, honest improvement beats waiting for perfect conditions. Done and iterable beats ideal and theoretical — in business, in coaching, and in life.

Life is better when it's aligned.

When I'm not coaching clients, you'll find me on the mat. I've been coaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 10 years — and what I learned there shapes everything I do in business coaching. BJJ teaches you that discipline beats talent, that drilling the fundamentals is never glamorous but always works, and that the people who improve fastest are the ones who trust the process even when progress feels invisible.

I've been married 27 years. My wife and our two daughters keep me honest about what actually matters. I believe life is better when it's aligned — and that includes making space for family, movement, faith, and genuine rest.

That personal experience of building a life that actually works is what I bring to every coaching engagement. It's not theory. It's lived.
